About Peggy May Yarns

Peggy May Yarns was created in dedication to my late Grandmother who was called Peggy May.  Growing up she taught me how to knit at around the age of 5 years old.  I then taught her to crochet when I was older, as I had learnt from some books from the library.

I became self employed in 2010 and was submerged into the yarn community.  I have won several awards, two of my most prominent ones are Small Business Sunday #SBS with Theo Paphitis and Women on Wednesday #WOW from Jacqueline Gold CBE.

I have designed knitting patterns and even featured at Norwich Fashion Week many years ago.  I even had a YouTube podcast at one point but nerves got the better of me and I stopped podcasting.  You never know I may start again one day if enough people encourage me to do so.

I love creating the famous yarn boxes and love putting them all together, from the yarn to the items I source to be added to whatever theme it is.

I am so grateful for everyone that orders from me, I am a small business and as Im sure you all realise that every sale really does mean the world to me.

I am always happy to take suggestions for colourways, boxes and even more knitting patterns to design.  So, please feel free to get in touch with any suggestions.

I love the fibre community in general and they all made me feel so welcome, especially after tough times I have had.  I am going to be offering a special yarn soon in memory of my great niece who was only six months old when she died end of 2019.  I designed a yarn then too and I was overwhelmed by the support from you all, so once again Thank you.
